The workmanship of these hives is amazing. Langstroth 11 frame brood (correct number for SA) and 10 super wired with wax strips. ( You can request 9 super frames and spacer fitted in super)

SA bees are a little smaller than the European bee.  So in recent times the 32mm spacing allows an additional 11th frame which allows for more bees to be raised in the brood chamber, cross comb is reduced, more happier bees.

Waksol dipped,  heavy solid wood lid (not chip board or ply wood).

You cannot get a better Beehive in SA.

All frames screwed top and bottom. Bottom board is attached to the brood box.
