Honey Extractor Checklist

✅ Before Extracting

Warm frames (room temp ~25–30 °C if possible)

Uncap combs fully (knife / fork / roller)

Load frames evenly (balance opposite sides)

Close extractor lid

⚡ During Extraction

Start spinning slowly

Gradually increase speed

Flip frames if extractor is tangential

Keep lid closed to avoid splatter

🧴 After Extraction

Drain honey fully (tilt toward honey gate)

Filter honey (through strainer / cloth)

Rinse extractor with warm water only

Leave equipment to dry

Optional: put extractor/uncapping tray outside for bees to clean

⚖ Safety & Care

Manual: turn handle smoothly, avoid jerks

Electric: don’t overload motor, check lid safety switch

Store extractor in dry place after use
